Let’s talk about podcasts today. If you haven’t started listening to podcasts, it’s about time you do so.
I found out about podcasts about 3-4 years ago, and it was an excellent way to pass the time at my old job. I worked on a computer all day, and I rarely had to communicate with others. Introvert much? Yep. Working on a computer can be quite tedious especially if you are doing the same thing every day. After a while, your brain shuts down, and I desperately needed to entertain myself with something.
Podcasts were a great way to learn new things, catch up with news, or listen to some great stories or interviews. Now when I’m working from home, I listen to podcasts even more. I do it while I’m selecting and retouching pictures, cleaning, working out, or commuting. So pretty much all of the time. It’s nice to have something to listen to besides music.
All right, today I’m going to share with you a few awesome podcasts. Check out my picks below…
by Lauryn Evarts and her soon to be husband Michael Bosstick. Lauryn is a blogger who really stands out because of her writing style. If you read her blog and listen to the podcast, you’ll see what I mean. She literally writes the same way she talks, which I absolutely love. Anyways, during the podcast the hosts are answering all sorts of questions and topics about pretty much anything from both a female and male perspective, they give updates on their life, and provide their listeners with the Tip of the Day, my favorite of their podcast segments. In each episode, Lauryn and Michael each share a useful tip or advice.
2. In the Dark
For those of you that have been listening to Serial (if you haven’t heard of Serial, make sure you look into it. One of the best crime podcasts out there) and you’re looking for another good crime podcast, I present to you “In the Dark”. It’s the story of Jacob Wetterling, a child that was abducted 27 years ago and how law enforcement mishandled this case in the first most crucial hours when the abduction happened.
Probably the most popular podcast out there. It’s all about true stories from everyday people, where every podcast has a particular theme and the stories revolve around that theme. It’s quite engaging and easy to get addicted to.
I found out about the Lively show a couple of years ago. It’s great because it covers a variety of different topics from food and wellness, to money, design, and career. It also covers motherhood, relationships, and style so there is a little something for everyone. The main focus of the podcast is to inspire and spark your everyday life.
The Nutrition Diva is part of the Quick and Dirty Tips podcasts. I like it because it is short and to the point. Episodes are 10min or less, and it gives you easy and straightforward tips on how to eat better.
