The Simple Rule I Follow When Wearing Neutrals

The simple rule I follow when wearing neutrals

I love wearing neutrals, and I’m always drawn to them when I’m shopping for something new.

Not exactly sure when I made the switch, because I used to wear a lot more color back in the day. There was even a time when I would dress as colorful as a rainbow. Yep! I’m not making this up. If you want to see what I’m talking about leave a comment on my latest Instagram and I will send you a pic. It’s kind of embarrassing.

Well, recently I was going through some old pictures from 2008. We were at Disneyland and I was wearing a bright yellow mini skirt, white shoes, and a light blue top. Insert shock emoji here.

Yes, I did follow the 3 color rule but still, yellow, blue, and white??? What was I thinking? I must have really wanted to look like the Canary Islands flag.

Well, these days I’m all about wearing neutrals, and you’d rarely see me wearing color. Maybe a pop of color here and there but that’s about it.

NEUTRALS ARE VERSATILE, TIMELESS, CHIC AND YOU CAN EASILY MIX THEM UP.

An all white and all black outfit is fine, but having a second color breaks things up a bit.

So next time when you are grabbing a white shirt, add some nude heels, put on your black pants, maybe even something brown. My point is that wearing neutrals don’t have to be boring and it doesn’t mean that you should stick to one color.

If you love color, add a bright colored bag, scarf or shoes to your all neutral outfit. Make sure to mix it up, try different things and see what works for you.

Do you love wearing neutrals or do you prefer color?
