How we limit ourselves

Recently I came across a quote that stuck with me.

“Your only limit is you.”

It made me think how we limit ourselves without even realizing it. Our insecurities and fears are often the reason for our own setbacks.

Yes, today’s post has nothing to do with style or beauty. It’s about figuring out our limits.

A few weeks ago, I finished this book, and I highly recommend it to anyone who needs some motivation and positivity in their lives. It’s about changing your mindset to get to your happy place. And about the many times, we don’t even realize that we are the only ones that set limitations for ourselves.

Some of those limitations can be fear of other people’s opinions. Something that I’m still working on.

Gio always tells me that if those people don’t pay your bills, they don’t have a say in what you do, or how you live your life. It’s true! So I try to repeat that to myself every time someone’s opinion gets to me.

At the end of the day, by letting their comments affect me, only one thing happens. It stops ME from moving forward!

Next time you are scared to do something because of other people’s judgments, think of it this way. At least you are trying to do something, and you are following your dreams. Don’t let other people’s insecurities affect you!

Another way of how we limit ourselves is the fear of leaving our comfort zone.

While being comfortable where you are is great quite often leaving your comfort zone is the key to achieving more. Don’t let your mind find excuses that stop you from doing the things you want. Instead, do that thing that you want!

The worst it can happen is that it doesn’t work out. So what?! At least, you tried!

The need for perfection can be another setback. Things don’t need to be perfect all the time. Sometimes we just have to let it be, instead of trying to make it perfect.

So don’t let things hold you back. Remember your only limit is you!
