Errands…uhh!

Let’s just say it, errands days are the worst. While I love crossing things off my to-do list running a few errands can turn into a whole day thing. So the first thing about an errands day is choosing a comfy outfit.

And although running errands means dressing comfy it does not mean that you have to spend the day in your yoga pants and an oversized sweater. No! Personally, I think yoga pants are to be worn at home or when you’re doing yoga. Yes, they are comfortable but I know it, and you know it, they are not cute to wear all day.

In today’s post, I wanted to share a few things to keep in mind when getting dressed for your next errands day.

Outfits for Running Errands:

Comfortable Shoes

Having comfortable shoes is so important, especially if you’re going to be doing lots of walking. I’m a fan of flats, lace-up flats, ballet flats, espadrilles, loafers…pretty much any flat shoe. They can be casual but chic at the same time. And even Victoria Beckham swapped heels for flats, so we know it’s an item worth having in your closet.

Large Bag

A large bag is always good, but even better when you are running errands. I like having enough space and the Gotham North South bag is my absolute favorite. I love the design and the size, there is enough room to fit all my essentials and more.

Pants

Either skinny or flare, pants always make me look put together. The important thing is finding a pair made of soft and stretchy material so the pants feel as comfortable as a pair of yoga pants.

Last but not least…don’t be afraid of wearing all white!

White looks very crisp and clean and wearing a simple white tee + white pants looks good on anyone.

I love your tip about not wearing yoga pants. lol. Though I’ve been known to throw them on to run down to the gas station for a coffee, I’m a firm believer in never wearing anything out of the house that you would wear to bed. No yoga pants, no pajamas, no sweats. EVER. That being said, however, I keep falling into the jeans & hoodie routine. Do you have any tips on what to wear when the weather gets cold? It’s snowing here and while it seems like a good idea to have a warm coat to wear outside, it’s usually toasty inside the stores, so then I’m stuck lugging it around while I’m trying to get my errands done. :(

Oh, I love wearing jeans; jeans and sneakers is my sporty go-to outfit & I honestly think jeans are way better than yoga pants, especially the more fitted styles :)
It’s getting cold here too, like real cold! I found that the best way to stay warm is to wear lots of layers. Also, buy a good thermal shirt. It makes such a difference.
      Hope that helps! :)
