Today I wanted to share with you my favorite recipe for a spicy skinny margarita. Does this sound good or what? Margaritas are one of my favorite cocktails, they’re refreshing, yummy and well, perfect during the summer. I’m a fan of regular margaritas but I wanted to try something a little different this time and keep the ingredients to a minimum. It literally takes 5 min to make this recipe and you’re going to love it.
Here’s what you need to make a Spicy Skinny Margarita:
- 4-5 Limes
- 2-3 tsp of agave syrup
- 2-3 oz. of your favorite tequila
- Cayenne Pepper
To start, squeeze out the limes. Fill the cups with ice and pour the tequila on top. Then add the lime juice and a spoonful or two of agave and mix well. I like mine a bit sweeter so I added three tsp of agave. To add a little kick and make it spicy add cayenne pepper.
If you want to make your margarita stronger, add more tequila. If you prefer it sweeter, add more agave. If you made it too strong, just add more lime juice.
Optional: If the taste is too citrusy, you can add some coconut water to your drink.
I made this recipe at home with my hubby on a lazy Sunday. The weather was sunshine and puppies one minute then rainy and gloomy the next pretty much all day. So instead of taking the risk and going outside, we decided to stay at home and make some yummy cocktails, cook some delicious food and watch movies. We already finished Stranger Things, what a great show! Does anyone know when is season 2 coming to Netflix?
I’d like to know what you think of this post,if you want to see more recipe posts here on the blog, let me know in the comments below and I’ll make it happen. In the meantime, hope everyone is having a great week!
